Mom was a resident at Davis Health Care for four and a half years. The family sends a big thank you to all who took part in her care through the years. Our heartfelt thanks to the "Angels" of Haven House who gave such loving care to their "Evie". We have great appreciation for those from the other houses that came to visit her, especially during her last month of life. She loved all the hugs and kisses and special entertainment. The family will never forget Erin and Jennifer from Hospice, you gave us as much comfort as you gave Mom.
We have peace in knowing that when mom reached the "Pearly Gates" she regained the use of her legs, and sight in her eyes, and was made whole again with her new heavenly body.
The family will receive friends from 6PM until 8PM on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Coble Ward Smith Funeral Home.
A family gathering for her honor will be held at Oleander Memorial Gardens at a later date and will be officiated by Rev. Greg Hales and Pastor Dede Pickles.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
